Obituary

Sara Pettry, 30 and Brooklyn Pearl Pettry, 3 both of Naoma, WV gained their heavenly wings on March 5, 2023 after a tragic accident. Sara was the daughter of Tanya Treadway of Montgomery, WV and Raymond Bickley of Fayetteville, WV. Brooklyn was the daughter of William and Sara Pettry of Naoma, WV. Sara had a heart of gold, if you needed her, she was always there. She loved spending time with her family who was her world. Sara touched the lives of everyone she was around. Brooklyn was the light of everyone’s world. She was everybody’s little princess. Brooklyn loved dressing up in her princess dresses and making her mommy take pictures to show everyone she was a little princess (which we already knew). She was proceeded in death by her loving grandmother Frances Bickley. Those left to cherish the wonderful memory of Sara include her husband of 4 years, William Pettry; her daughters, Justice Dean and Neveah Bickley; her mother-in-law Tammy Pettry and companion Daniel O’Neal; sister-in-law Jennifer (James) Clay; Sister Angel; her nephews who she adored and thought the world of Peyton, Zayn, Rylee, Corbin, Nathaniel, Christopher; her Nana Janet Postlethwaite; her foster parents who played a big role in Sara’s life Cari Wells, Susie (Jim) Brock; her grandmother-in-law Minnie (Reed) Green. Those left to cherish the three wonderful years of memories with Brooklyn include her Daddy, William Pettry; sisters Justice Dean and Neveah Bickley; Mamaw Tammy; Papaw Daniel; Aunt Jennifer whom she loved to call Ginger; Papaw James; her cousins who she loved dearly Nathaniel and Christopher; her Granny Minnie; Papaw Reed. Sara and Brooklyn had extended family members that they dearly loved. Brooklyn loved going to the firehouse, she wanted to be a firefighter just like her daddy. Sara was always a big help at the firehouse anytime she was needed, you could always count on her. Sara and Brooklyn touched the lives of so many people. We encourage everyone to cherish and enjoy time with your loved ones as we are not promised tomorrow. Sara and Brooklyn will be missed by so many people. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Arnett Chapel Arnett, WV with Pastor Danny Gilfilen officiating. The Stewart Family will be singing. Interment will be in the Pettry Cemetery Dry Creek, WV. The visitation will be 2 hours before the service at the church. Armstrong Funeral Home is in charge of the services.
