Shelby J. (Ferrell) Robbins

Shelby J. (Ferrell) Robbins 83, from Saltville, Virginia went to be with the Lord November 30, 2021,at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va. She was born on February 27,1938 to the parents of Albert and Harriett (Brown) Ferrell. Other than her parents she was preceded in death, by her husband Rev. Jim Robbins, by her brother Ray Ferrell Jr. and sister Janet Howard. She is survived by her sister JoAnn Karantonis, and two brothers Gordon and Jim Ferrell, and many nieces and nephews. Shelby was very active in the Assembly of God church in Dorothy, WV for many, many years. Retired from Big Star Supermarket with over 24years of service. Shelby and Pam Vines (niece) established the Villa Boutique in Whitesville, WV. In 1990 she married Rev. Jim Robbins from Saltville, VA where they pastored the Calvary Bible Church for many years. She also retired as Church Clerk and Sunday School teacher. Shelby was still a member of the church. Shelby loved to travel and shop. She loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews and she was involved in many of their lives. A special thank you to her caregiver and friend Debbie Smith for all the love and attention she gave to Shelby. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday December 4, 2021at The Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville Va. with Rev. James Gentry and her brother Jim Ferrell officiating. Calling hours will be from 12:00 till 1:00pm. Funeral at 1:00pm. Shelby will be transported to Armstrong Funeral Home in Whitesville, WV. Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm Monday December 6, 2021. Visitation 11:00 Till 12:00pmwith her brother Jim Ferrell officiating. Burial will be at Pineview Cemetery at Orgas, WV immediately following service.
