Virginia "Jeanie" Rose O'Meara

 Virginia "Jeanie" Rose O'Meara, 56 years of age, passed away peacefully on September 16th, 2024, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Jeanie was born on October 12th, 1967, in Charleston, WV to Gerald & Shirley O'Meara. Jeanie lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed being outdoors and going on hikes with her friends and family. She always made it known that she was very proud of her children. She especially loved hearing her daughter Aubray sing "Dancing in the Sky". Jeanie had a pure heart. In any case, she was ready to listen, and would make someone laugh and feel loved. She will be truly missed. Her death was preceded by her parents and a sister, Nancy Hodge. Left behind to cherish her memory include two children, Devon O'Meara & wife Brittany of Cool Ridge, WV; Aubray (Pettry) Burgess & husband Hunter of Evening Shade, AR; A brother Danny O'meara of Glen Daniel, WV; Two sisters, Crissie Scott & late husband Deward of Fairdale, WV & Terri Williams & husband Eddie of Knoxville, TN; Two Grandchildren Brielle & Briar O'meara. Jeanie's wishes for cremation have been honored. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Armstrong Funeral Home Whitesville, WV. Friends may gather at 1:00 p.m. to visit with the family. A special thank you to the Bowers Hospice House for such compassionate care in her final days. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Bowers Hospice House.
