Wanda Griffy, 79, of Whitesville, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the home of her daughter, Nancy Simpson. She was born on Sept. 26, 1944 in Whitesville, WV.  A daughter of the late Henry and Gracie Vealey Buzzard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Edward Griffy. Wanda is survived by a daughter, Nancy Simpson; a son, Timmy Griffy and wife, Ella; grandchildren: Justin and Christopher Simpson, Terrie Reagan, Christina Bassham and Timmy Griffy Jr. and 10 great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon November 15, 2023 at one o’clock in the Faith Free Will Baptist Church Sylvester, WV with Pastor Roger Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Pineview Cemetery Orgas, WV. The visitation will be 2 hours before the service at the church.
