Wanda Massey

January 6th, 2023, Wanda Massey stepped through the gates of Heaven and is now in the arms of her dear Lord and Savior. The Bible says, "to be absent in body, is to be present with the Lord". Mom is now running those streets of gold, singing and praising with her dear Lord. Wait for us by that river, we will love you until our last breath. Wanda was proceeded in death by her father, Cecil Jr. and Nellie Stewart of Dameron, West Virginia. Her sister Edna and infant sister Debbie. Her infant brother Harold, son-in-law Scott, sister-in-law Shirley, brothers-in-law John "Woody" and Bob. She was survived by her husband Grant Massey of 56 years and her daughters Kim (Bobby Harper) of Dameron, Sheri (Tom Vance) of Mount Hope, and Samantha (Rodney Stewart) of Dameron. Grand Children: Amanda (Thomas Dulin) of Eccles, Chyna Stover of St. Albans, Rebekah Harper of Fairdale, Brandon (Stacey Stover) of Mount Hope, Jessica (Joe-Joe Argabrite) of Dameron, Chandler (Montana Stewart) of Bolt, Samuel (Shyanne Stewart) of Dameron, India Vance of SC, Raegan (Chad Vigilante) of Fairdale. Great grandchildren: Aiden, Adriana, Hadley, Austin, Harper, Lacey, Payton, Charley, Lincoln, Turner, Ryder, and baby Silas. Other survivors include Georgia (Frank Stover) of Akron, Dale (Shirley Stewart) of Fairdale, Bobby (Cathy Stewart) of Culpepper, Lois Gibson of Camarillo, Lane Stewart of Fairdale, Carolyn (Kenny Dillon) of Lester, Betty Shelton of Arnett, Edith (Wayne Polk) of SC, Diana Zimnox of Charleston, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held January 12th, 2023 with Pastor Ronnie Hall where Wanda spent her entire life serving the Lord at Dameron Church, 2549 Coal River Road, Glen Daniel, West Virginia 25844. The family viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m., friends and visitors may come at 12:00 p.m., and the service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wanda will be laid to rest at the Massey Family Cemetery in Dameron, West Virginia directly after the service. Pallbearers: Bobby Harper, Rodney Stewart, Tom Vance, Brandon Stover, Chandler Stewart, Samuel Stewart, Chad Vigilante, Joe-Joe Argabrite, and Thomas Dulin. Wanda's family would like to specially thank the CCU nurses and other staff members of 2 North at Raleigh General Hospital, Hospice of Southern West Virginia, and the Mount Hope Fire Department for the care and compassion they've shown our family.
